We never know how one chance encounter can impact or change a life. This past summer a future leader and change maker named; Jordan Holliday was a huge part of volunteering and leading summer initiatives here at Grow Hub GR in partnership with the GRPD, Reslife, Uptown Church GR and many other local business and volunteer organizations.
Jordan always came in with a positive attitude and was ready to learn and help! As a project manager and volunteer at “The Second Annual Summer Celebration” and “Fishing with the Po-Po event.” Jordan utilized skills learned in the classroom at Kent ISD and the GRPD Police Explorers program to apply them to real life opportunities to connect with the community.
Jordan originally met Edward Kolakowski of Shield Private Investigations through Kent ISD’s Criminal Justice program. As an instructor with over 25+ years of experience in law enforcement himself; Ed and other police officers both retired and active have an opportunity to connect with youth and teach from a first hand lens of experience.
Husband & wife team at Grow Hub GR; Edward and Stephanie Kolakowski believe in encouraging growth and connection in our community. Both believe in the need to continue to build relationships with youth and law enforcement. Empowering future leaders to connect to opportunities, like Jordan. In addition to a career in law enforcement, Jordan also has a future and desire to help solve problems and innovate as an entrepreneur.
